 Fisher Arms' Presentation of the:
NRA Home Firearm Safety Course
is just the ticket for someone who has chosen to purchase a firearm for whatever reason, be it for protection, recreation, or competition, or aquired a firearms as a gift, or inheritance. It will give you the basic Knowledge, Skills, and Attitude to own, handle, and store you firearms safely at home, whether it is only you in the home, a couple, or a family with all the trimmings. This is a 4 hour class that will help keep your home from becoming an accident statistic. You will spend about one hour each learning about rifles, pistols, and shotguns, and about an hour learning general, basic firearms safety and storage in the home, and about 2 hours actually handling several types of firearms to aquatint yourself with them. This is a non-firing course, as is great for the whole family. Age does not matter as long as the student is mature enough to pay attention, understand, and not be a distraction for 4 hours.
This class is POST certified
Officers taking this class will be credited with 3 hours Technical, and 1 hour Firearms Skill

If you would like to become an:
NRA Certified Range Safety Officer, you came to the right place. If you belong to a gun club, are involved with youth groups such as, the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4H Club, FFA, etc, you would be a welcome addition to your organization's safety team with a certification as a Range Safety Officer. Please note that you must be 21 years old, or older for the NRA to certify you as an RSO. Safety is the backbone of all shooting sports, even airgun events. Your club, or organization will benefit from better insurance rates if they have a Range Safety Officer involved with any and all events even if it's just teaching a group of scouts to shoot BB guns at summer camp. This is a non-firing course.
(This is actually a very enjoyable class, and is one of my favorite classes to teach - Keith Fisher)
Our RSO class is now POST certified
If you are a law enforcement officer, this class will credit you with 9 hours of "Technical"  continued training
credit.

NRA Home Firearm Safety Courses are offered at $30 for first family member, $25 for second Family Member, and $15 for each child after that. Each person will receive a certificate, and booklet.

Range Safety Officer Courses are offered at just $110 per person
